i just bought a MMM!!!
well as the title says i just bought me a MMM v2 from mike! i couldnt pass the "sale" they were having so i picked it up. you guys think it will explode when i get it? i wanted to run brushed motors till i can get the medusa 60 or 70 from mike as well. waht mod should i do to make it live till i can get my new motor? or should i get it and send it in immediatly to get the v3? also does it come with the bullet connectors?i dont really know how i would wire it up for brushed motors?
hopefully these are not open box units. that would suck as i dont see any warning saying they arnt new. and mike is like the only person that has them in stock! well if all goes well i will be getting my MMM on monday or tuesday. should be awesome! |
The ESC's are new. And they do come with built in bullet connectors. Wiring them for brushed motors are written in the instructions. If you update the firmware when you receive your ESC, it will run fine. And honestly sending it in is not needed. You can just ask them for a V3 case. But as long as you have the latest firmware, it should run well.

thanks for the link! waht medusa would you guys reccomend i get? or should i just get a 9xl for now until i can get a nue?
|
Aside from the firmware update, just make sure the female bullet connectors aren't making contact with the heatsink. If they are, such that you can't slide a piece of notebook paper between them, then I would send it in for a v3.
|
alright ill check that once i get it. is mikes shipping pretty quick?
|
Mike's shipping is amazing. 2 days cross country.
|
wow! so maybe ill get it tomorrow? i ordered on thursday...that would be tight! but monday is cool to.
|
sweet. The EEC already shipped! I just got the email! What motor should I get? Should I wait for the castle nues or just save up for a real nue? Also I wanna just run about 4s what batts would you guys recomend? I was thinking the Spc lipos or zippy rc packs. Man im so excited! Also it comes with all the bullets like for the motor and batts? Or will I have to get some more?thanks!
http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...idProduct=6351 i want to get two of these and wire in parrallel. you think these batts wired in that fashion would stand up to a nue or medusa?because technically they are 20c if that is correct and when wired in parallel they would be a total of 10,000 mah so they could be capable of 200 amps continous and like 300 amp burst. you think that they would hold up to normal bashing? thanks for any info info because right now i cant afford those nice big lipos! |
alright i just got my monster! and wow is it hefty! the only thing that i can find wrong is that i cant get the motor wires to go in! like the case is not big enough for it. does that mean i need the v3 case? i cant get any paper in there but for the battery ones i can. i cant use it anyway because i dont have the connectors yet but i just wanted to mock all the wiring up. so any help on this matter?

and yes, i did something for those plugs, so that those werent touching when driving and had updated firmware. just cross your fingers, and hope for the best, hopefully your monster lasts. i have two zippy-r 4800 4S in parrel, but cant say much about them as my ride lasted few minutes. but in theory zippy-r 4800 can provide more amps than zippy-h 5000, as R is 25C and H is 20C rms. |
dont chance burning up your servo's or maybe even your truck...stick in back in the mail to castle and they will give you a new V3
