Rummy's E-LSP

Well I finally made some progress on the truck and thought I'd post a "build" thread. Nothing to out of the ordinary.

Specs
  • V2 Monster Max upgraded to V3
  • 600XL (I think haha) Rewound by MTXMUGEN
  • 13/54 gearing
  • 2S and 3S Apogee 5800mah packs in series for testing

Basically, MTXMUGEN had a motor he wanted tested and I told him I'd build a truck to beat on the motor. I only know motor basics so I thought what the heck. I have an E-maxx with a 10xl on 6S A123 so I thought I'd convert my last nitro vehicle over which is this LSP. I'll test on 5S lipo and depending on performance might bump it up to a single 6S lipo pack or (2) 3S lipos in series. Anyone have any battery recommendations?

Here are some photos of the mock up. I'm trying to figure out battery mounting options. I can heat bend 1/8 ABS to make the cradles but I'd like to find a pre-made strap to hold them in place if possible. Will be making an electronics tray also for the speed control and receiver.

Nice ride. I love that last pic. I looks real mean.

As for the battery tray, there are a few people with that set-up. Mike sells straps in the store, so check them out.

I've seen these ones but wasn't quit sure how they fastened to the chassis.

Nice truck, those wires on the 600xl are looking kind of tiny though :D
