MMM with 4mm bullets

Can I use 4mm bullets on a Monster/Neu 1515 1.5 combo? Will it overheat the connectors? My MM/7xl on 4s run fine without heating issues. I just make sure the connectors are tight.
Thank you.

The real problem with running 4mm plugs is that there isn't much margin for error -- You probably won't have any issues, but do you really want to risk it?

I'd suggest using a 5.5mm connector as a minimum.

I'll tell you what I did on one setup....I took the male 4mm bullet and soldered it directly to a female 6.5mm bullet (adaptor) works great..will post pics later

Or you could just solder the wire directly into the female bullet...

I like the adaptor because you can move the esc around to other trucks easier

+1. 4mm should work, but 5.5s will handle it much better. I use 5.5s on my 6XL, my 1515 1.5D, and my Medusa motors (when they get here) will get 5.5s on them. I've never had an issue with CC 5.5mm bullets even on the amp-hungry 1515 1.5D.

i found i couldnt get my wires into the 4mm connectors, so i had to solder onto the side of them and spread the wire around the outside... didnt have anything else at the time... it worked ok, but they did get a little warm, no noticeable difference to performance though...

unless its a temp solution ,go with bigger connectors!
