The best buggy for one conversion
Hallo boys I wanted to ask second you to you which buggy goes better for being converted in brushless?
Thanks Ettore |
Several Ofna buggies come with a center differential that can have a plastic spur gear put on. Just for that they may be the easiest to convert. Here are some of them:

That last one is pretty cool.. You can sell that .26 motor/radio etc.. it would become relative cheap that way.
|
Therefore the only aspect to consider is the plastic spur?
Why the metal spur does not go well? |
you need a hardenen pinion with those steel spurs. i had a centerdiff with an ofna 51t steel spur, and i reaplaced it with a 51t ofna plastic one. Don't know if every ofna diff accepts those spurs though.

Thanks serum I wanted to ask to you if you know where I can find a support motor adapted, or if someone ago to payment.
|
Sorry, i can't help you out; but i have got a sugestion; Carbon Fiber is easy to work with, get a jigsaw, a dremel and you will be able to make your own.
|
Thanks for suggestion, therefore this machine goes well?
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bi...p?&I=LXGUS1&P=7 I thought to use feigao 10l with 16 cells and warrior 9920. Tasks go well like stup? |
i would go with maybe a 8xl.

hallo, the 10l is too small?
|
That buggy would work fine.
The 10L would work well. You could also use a 9L. These are the most common buggy motors. IMO, the XL motors aren't really necessary for a 1/8 buggy. The Ls do just fine. How many cells do you want to run? Usually 12 are used for these conversions. |
thanks metal, i wold use 14-16 cells...
|
The 8XL would be a good choice for 14 cells. 16 cells would be better with the 9XL. Usually in a 1/8 buggy it is best to have the motor spinning at about 35,000 RPM max.
|
ok thanks very much for info...
another question what is the difference of feigao/BK i see for example feigao 8xl is rated for KV Rating: 2084 Bk 8xl 1875 rpm is the only one difference |
BK rates their motors as "loaded" (spinning a propeller or weight)
Feigao rates their motors as "unloaded" (no weight or propeller) |
