Would this be a good battery to run?

I've heard some decent reviews about these batts, but just to be certain can someone clarify for me? I'll be running this in a CRT X1 with an R1 Pro (extra caps), BEC, with a Feigao 9XL and Mike's mount and heatsink. Will I have any issues? I'll be upgrading to a Neu later on when I have more cash but this 9XL should do fine until then. I'm going to gear it for 40-45mph. Sound good?

Can't beat it for the price. I have ran the Zippy 4s 5000 packs, and they seem to perform excellently.

Great! Anyone else want to give feedback? Vids?

I think I remember someone saying the CRT mount only accepts 14T pinons and up, right? So with a 14/46 setup and no tire ballooning, I would be int he ballpark of 51MPH according to the top speed calculator. Would this be okay? Seems fast but I don't see any other choice :mdr:

Really seems quick... I make it 41mph...

Which should be ok but watch the temps on that 9XL...

The CRT diffs are 13:43, not 10:43. That's why it comes stock with a 62T spur instead of something smaller.

I run the 3s from that same series of zippyz and they are fantastic for bashing or practice racing......if your going to race serious and the race is sanctioned then you must use roar approved enerlands....and yes the enerlands have a very noticeable difference over the zippy's hence the bigger expense

btw ...my crt 1x has a 62 spur and I use a 14t pinion...here it is with a 9l feigao with the 3s zippy

FYI, the Enerland 2S Hard Case packs are not Roar legal. Here is the list of Roar legal 2S hard case Lipos:

who said anything about running 2s....I just suggested that if he wants to race sanctioned he would need roar approved enerlands to have the best

BL_RV0 11.11.2008 03:52 PM

Does enerland make any roar approved packs?

trev3813 11.11.2008 03:58 PM

No, that is why I responded as such. They have cells in other brands of packs, but not under the Enerland/Poly RC brand itself.

Are polyquest hard case packs roar legal?

The only Roar approved packs are 2S, period. Whether someone runs them in series or not was not the point, just that Enerland does not have a Roar approved lipo. There are other manufacturers that use Enerland cells in their Roar approved packs however. But, they are still only 2S packs.

No. Check the link I posted earlier.

BL_RV0 11.11.2008 04:06 PM

What does it take to approve a lipo for roar use?
