New RCM Batts

I saw some new batts in the RCM store this morning. Any info on the cells in these Mike? Are these made for you specifically? Prices look good too.

I have been testing these packs with various cells for about 10 months. They perform better under load than any other cells I have tested, so I decided to start selling them. I am working on labels for them now.
The 2500mah cells hold better than 3 volts per cell under 175 amp load(70c burst rate!) according to my Eagle tree tests! The Eagle tree is accurate to about this load, so I can't get a comparable test on the larger packs, but vs. a comparable FlightPower pack, you can feel the power difference (4s 5000mah felt like I almost added a cell!).
I have other packs, sizes as well - just not enough to list them yet. If anyone has a specific size they need, I should be able to get them - pretty much any size/discharge/capacity.
I will be testing a new 38c continuous 70c burst 2600mah pack soon as well, and should have 3s, 4s, 5s, 6s hard case packs in various capacities eventually as well. :)

Chinese cells ?

skellyo 11.12.2008 11:22 AM

Sounds like I need to pick up a pack from you when I get my CRT and GTP together. Do you have any packs that will be closer in length to a Flightpower 5000mAh pack?

RC-Monster Mike 11.12.2008 11:28 AM

Yes, they are chinese cells.
The 5s 4500mah pack is the same overall dimensions as the FP.

I have 2s, 3s, 4s and 5s 5000mah and 4s 6000mah packs in the same length as well(some have been tested a few times, but easy enough to get more). :)

I special ordered the 5s2p for BrianG, so I ordered a couple extra. :)

I am very interested in the hard case lipos, that's a great price! When do you expect to get them labeled? I know our local tracks probably wont allow them if they are not labeled with the specs.

you told me about these cells a few months back when i we were on the phone talking about the nue endbell covers not fitting, i was beginning to wonder if you were ever gonna start selling them to us...

these are teh ones you were running as a 2500 5s pack in your crt.5 isnt it?

RC-Monster Mike 11.12.2008 12:08 PM

When someone buys a pack, they will have an appropriate label. :)

Yes, Ross - the 5s 2500s are the packs I use in my crt.5. They even survive an 8 minute run in a full size truggy(they are that good).

Now I can finally get my Ultra GTP (10s) and MBX5/CORR (5s) projects finished!

hmmm sound like perfect packs for the crt.5s and the ls10s ultra light weight and small too. that 5s 5000 is only 2mm too wide to fit in my tray or id buy one, too bad im running this tiny custom tray.

skellyo 11.12.2008 12:22 PM

Mike, Do you have a 3S 2500 pack available? I'd like to try it in my 1509/1Y powered Slash or my VXL Rustler.

RC-Monster Mike 11.12.2008 12:31 PM

I have a couple 3s2p packs(5000mah), but I don't think I have any 3s1p at the moment. :)

RC-Monster Mike 11.12.2008 12:41 PM

Ross,
I do have a 5s 2200mah pack(33c cont, 60c burst) that will fit your little tray - 120x38x43.5 dimensions. :)

BrianG 11.12.2008 12:45 PM

Order placed!
