what kind of motor is this?

Anyone know what kind of motor this is? And will it work in an E-MAXX? Is $50 a good price for a REEDY NEO 1 new in the package? Thanks

If I'm not wrong then this is the B50 made by Hacker and the Feigaos are the affordable replications of these motors at much lower costs.

Will this work with the above motor?

Yup its good for the e-maxx. 50 is very good for the Neo One, but it will not pull your e-maxx powerfully enough.

captain harlock 11.29.2005 03:47 PM

Cant tell unless we know the No. of turns of the motor.

mmdooley 11.29.2005 04:01 PM

E-mailed the seller to find out how many turns motor has. I can get the controller very cheap. $60

Serum 11.29.2005 05:06 PM

Depends on the winds it has..

That controller is no good imo. too less A's..

SpEEdyBL 11.29.2005 06:42 PM

...And no control.

captain harlock 11.30.2005 10:15 AM

Dooley, dont buy anything just because its cheap and I agree with Serum on the amps issue. Pick up a 7020 Bk controller if you want a good ESC at a low cost, it has higher amp rate and it can handle 20 cells and four lipos or just wait untill you can afford a complete setup from Mike later.

What I would like to know is, Are these motors suitable to run in a E-MAXX? I could not find out how many winds it has. It is a 105 amp and 4625 Kv. I agree with you Harlock and I will get a good controller from Mike but I like to keep my eyes open. And the good thing is I can ask you guys and yall keep me stright;)

Sorry I did not post a pic. I am refering to the picture of the motor at the start of this thread.
Thanks

If I were to guess, I would think it might be a 540 5L, if there were such a thing.

In fact, I actually saw a picture of one on feigao's site once. Weird huh? I wonder who could actually use that motor. The spec sticker said 120 amps and 4800 kv or so.

E-Traxxer 12.02.2005 12:04 AM

It could be a good application for 6-8 cells in a heavy 1/10 truck with lots of aluminum..

squeeforever 12.02.2005 12:21 AM

i think that controller is made for airplanes anway.

mmdooley 12.02.2005 12:59 AM

Yes the controller is junk, amps to low, But if you have a aluminium truck how would the 120 amp motor work??
