Proposed december bash spot, SoCal.
Thousand Oaks, CA 91362
I found this place with my friends today and there are some sick jumps. I took the pics with my cellphone so they're not very good. I hope you can see the jumps okay. There's about 20 jumps in total, and some other very cool things. The place is nice, no ramps needed. Only thing is there is no accessible power, so if someone has a generator, it would be a welcome addition. Not too many neighbors around to piss off either. Jump 1: this one is epic. There is a steep downramp about 30' long and the jump is 4' tall at least. Massive air. http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t...s/jumps001.jpg Here is the top portion. Nothing amazing, but plenty of doubles to clear. http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t...s/jumps013.jpg Here is the jump on the other side of the huge jump. A nice recovery ramp for a smooth landing. http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t...s/jumps011.jpg Here is a large turn with a jump in the middle, a nice bank on there, could fly off the top like a small cliff, maybe. http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t...s/jumps008.jpg Another ramp http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t...s/jumps007.jpg This one is tricky. About 3' high and not a whole lot to jump off of. http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t...s/jumps004.jpg Another big jump. http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t...s/jumps003.jpg Here is a very nice 360* bank turn http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t...s/jumps002.jpg Another bank, nothing special. http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t...s/jumps012.jpg There is one other good bank turn that I forgot to photograph. If you have any questions or requested photos tell me soon, I will be going back tomorrow. |
Is it private property?

That looks like an awesome bashing ground! I'll have to bring my Muggy when I go down for my Grandparent's anniversary. They're in Granada Hills, IIRC it's close enough.

Do you think there is enough space for ~ 10 people + all our stuff? As far as charging goes... If anyone has a spare car battery or 12v lead acid battery, those will be perfect. I will see if I have a spare lying around in my garage. If not, we could also rent a generator from Uhaul or Home Depot and all chip in for the costs.
Another option: If you guys are willing to come to LA county, then I'd highly suggest SV Speedway in Burbank. They have a dirt 1/8th track, dirt oval, and asphalt on-road courses. And I believe they are hurting for business, so we could probably rent the entire place out for a day if you guys are up for something like that as well. |

Grr, if only you guys found a spot in Woodland Hills. ^.^
I know I know... Only about 30 minute drive, but bah. Non-RC-enthusiastic parents = no go. |
