nomadio react phantom sensors?

so i just recently purchased a nomadio react on the bay. i run it a couple time no problem. i then install a temp sensor on the motor that works fine. today i take it out in slightly wet conditions and it says temp 3 is 250 degrees F and temp 4 is 400+ degrees. i only have 1 temp sensor on channel 1 and it is accurate (checked with temp gun) was it the moisture or what, it (reciever) never was soaked or splashed.
any ideas or similar experience

With Nomadios there are 4 available temp sensors that could be hooked up, I have 3, motor, esc and batt. It is probably set at those values in the Nomadio software.

I have a React, and it should only display values for the sensors that are actually connected...so I'd guess you've gotten some moisture in the transceiver. The Nomadio transceivers are delicate little things with a lot of openings in for plugs, so it's a good idea to protect them any time you're going to be running in wet conditions.

If it's not the water, then i guess it could be a faulty transceiver, but if it continues to do it then it might be worth re-flashing the software for both transmitter and receiver. This might fix it.

A New Sensor Question

ok so the first prob was moisture i used rubbing alcohol and now it works

so new question
how does everyone attach their nomadio temperature sensors to the motor specifically. i have heard high temp epoxy but that seems too permanent. also which side of the sensor should contact the motor. i am going for accuracy of temp overall.
thanks
