I'm still alive!!!!
Just letting you guys know that I'm still alive and kicking. The whole family is on vacation in the Philippines and we're all trying to enjoy our limited time here. It's also my way of letting my 2 kids(8-boy and 22 months-girl) know a bit about their parent's heritage and cultural background:mdr:. We've been here since the 25th of Nov and I thought I can stay away from the internet for the duration of our 3-weeks stay but I'm wrong:angel::angel:.
I'll be posting regularly again once we return to Japan. I can't wait to see what the mailman had for me when I return. I hope I'll have Shaun's package waiting so I can give away the stuff to the other guys around here:intello::whistle::party:. I also hope to have the Kyosho ST-RR roller and rc-monster motor mount and other stuff waiting for the conversion. It will be a few days until I get into the net again so I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving. We still celebrated it here but instead of fried turkey, my wife's family/relatives roasted a whole pig for everyone. I already gained a lot due to the amount of food I had been eating. By the way, this is my first official vacation to the Philippines since 1993(we went home for 8 days in March for my father-in laws funeral). Later. |
I was wondering!! it's good to hear your ok...
P.S. I'm sorry to hear about your loss SIR.. |
Good to hear you are having a good time. I would be going thru withdrawls also. Not to mention the list you have waiting for you when you get home. Wouldn't want to wish my vacation went by faster so I could get home sooner. If you know what I mean.....
|
Good to know Lito, have fun on your vacation!!
I can't wait to see some updates when you get back to Japan, and to see whats waiting for you when you get back, i've heard Shaun has a huge package  ......... |
Can't wait to see the ST-RR build thread, I'm very interested... :mdr:

I consider myself an honorary Filipino. I lived in the Visayan islands (Bacolod, Iloilo) for a couple of years and learned a few of the dialects there (Cebuano, Ilonggo, Karay-a, Akleanon, and a bit of Tagalog).
I love the Philippines. It'd be great to go back someday. I really miss the food. Especially the lechon baboy! |
Lito...I also need a vacation...hope you had a nice holiday as well and look forward to your next project!

its great to hear that your still in the hobby. i was getting worried you were taking one of them "rc breaks". i hear the girls there are cheap.( if you know what i mean) jk ...your married.
mmm roasted pig....thats delicious. my girls pinay and she buys me that every once in a while. have you been eating bolut? however thats spelled...but the little chick in the egg heheh. well be safe and enjoy your stay over there in the phillipines and japan. |
Thanks for the kind words guys!!!
We just returned to Japan a few hours ago. It was only a 4 hour flight. I think I gained a few pounds after eating all the good food I missed for such a long time. I also took home a couple of balut(hard-boiled duck egg with a little chick inside) just to try if Customs will let me through with it and they did. Next time I go home, I'll bring home at least a dozen. Just got done eating them a little while ago (yummy) :intello:. Both kids had a hard time adjusting to the temperature but still had a good time though. We plan on visiting my wife's relatives again in about 4-5 years. I told my son that I will send him back for college because it's a lot cheaper compared to the US. He's not too keen about that . Kulangflow, it's really nice to know you can speak more dialects than me . I can only speak 3. Rommel, I wish I had the time to go there. My wife and the kids just wanted to go to the Mall of Asia for shopping and sightseeing. I did take my son to Rizal Park and I almost ran out of answers for his questions especially after seeing the guards on Rizal's monument :mdr: We spent most of our time in my wife's hometown of General Santos City. Jeff, enjoy your vacation too. Be safe. It's back to work again in a week :no::no:. |
