720 size Losi motor
Losi's new 1/8 Xcelorin motor is a 720 size. what size is this? what are the dimensions? All other 1/8 motors i have seen say they are 550 size and 1/10 motors are 540 size. what does this number mean? how is it come up with? is the Losi motor larger than a 1515 Neu?
|
it confusing me too :(
36mm diam motors are 540 size about 550size I heard only about brushed motors 720 is mystic for me Interesting to know what is real size and why Losi makes some own standart... |
they have some brushed 700 or so motors on Kershaws web site...I think they might be the same size as a cordless drill motor
|
Got any pics of it yet?
|
im uploading pictures right now in the manual it calls it a 670 motor
|
Nice work thanks.

Looks like a decent motor. Wonder if it's a rebadged/custom Feigao? About the size of a non-finned Neu 1515. Same slotted stator, slot counts, and pole counts as Neu too.
I do like the multiple screw options, but not the amount of exposed connections on the back. |
the exposed connections are with the end cover off, a couple pics up you can kinda see the cover. IMO the three solder standoffs should be standard on motors, so we can run our own wiring and not worry about those stiff tinned leads we are use to. A nice feature:yes:

Ok, as long as there is a cover.

Thanx for the pics.
There is an interesting feature mentioned on the box -> Connector: Direct soldier tabs soldier <-> solder Seems as if they were in a rush with their packaging. i hope this holds not true for the motor itself ;-) |
Glad to see that I am not the only one misspelling solder!
|
has anyone reviewed these?
I desperately need a low kv motor for my 12-13 pound muggy, and the 80mm medusa's are taking forever. I wonder if the xcelorin 1300kv would match a medusa 80mm1100kv. |
