Backward power leads!
I plugged in my battery leads backwards, heard a good snap and nothing works! How fried is it? Is it worth getting fixed...4 weeks of turnaround,$70.00 plus postage? I am pissed off....never even got to run it once! I am surpirsed there is no polarity protection. I did not notice the + and - connection designation on the esc input.....one of the dumber things I have done.

Oh ya it is a MMM V3...is then any re-set?
|
Sounds like it's fried dude, unlucky too! I've soldered on backwards deans to my sidewinder and MMs on more than one occasion and hooked up with no damage.
Maybe just let it rest for a bit, maybe it would come good haha. Sorry to hear it though, that sucks. |
If you reversely connect a low quality battery for a short time, the ESC may have some chance to survive, but if the battery happened to be a very high discharge capability LiPo, very few hope can you expect

I assume this is on a MMM? Yet another reason for having wires solderend directly to the board, at least on the battery input.
|
ive done this too in the past and nothing has happened but recently with my nicer setup (6s pack) it completely fried the board.
|
i had a buddy solder up a system for me and he did the same thing, it let smoke out but ran fine for 2 years.
|
I'm sorry for your loss. Maybe CC will throw you a bone.
