Do you guys tape your buggy tires?
I've taped all my maxx size and most of my 2.2 but looking at the buggy tires with such low profiles got me wondering if I should or not.

I don't tape buggy tires and haven't had a problem. I have only taped MT/truggy tires. I am curious if others do however...

I have a set of Moab buggy tires that I did tape. Since buggy tires are thinner to begin with, the tape helps keep a larger contact patch on the road.

i use tamiya battery tape on mine, i cant remeber the name of the fiber they use but its suposed to be stronger than kevlar

I strongly recommend against using tape in buggy tires. I bet after you look a slow-mo of an rc car tire spinning for 40 mph, you will agree. I'm sure the tire doesn't even expand uniformally, and that tape would only worsen the effects of high rpm distortion. I guess MT tire ballooning is sometimes just too much, but this is never the case with buggy tires. On the bright side, a little ballooning is like an automatic transmission system in perfect sync with the rpm of the wheels! The set of tires in my avatar (ofna treaded premounts) do not balloon at all really and seem to take away a lot of top end punch.
