It's probably for very, very small airplanes (google plantraco; their planes are more or less palm sized). Probably could use it in micro helis too (palm sized little fixed pitch birds).

I have a problem with the 1/10 scale screws. I couldn't handle the frustration of a mini let alone loosing the controller that was just on my finger tip. Unless that person has some huge fingers.

I have actually looked at those for a solar power project. Something you could just drive constantly on a sunny day, since a 12W panel is pretty small and I don't think that motor would have trouble moving it. It would even work indoors, like in a gym. Albeit not as well as in sunlight.
