Hyperion charger problem

Is there a website for support...bought a new duo II charger for my son in law
and it wont charge....I get an error that says.... "output voltage is too high"

any ideas?

have you double checked that the voltage you selected is the same as the pack?

I get that error near the end of a lipo charge when the voltage gets to ~4.1v/cell and the charge rate is anything over 3.8A in my old EOS7i. If charging a 5Ah battery, I have to manually reduce the charge rate near 4.1v/cell to keep the voltage there until it is set to 3.8A. I took the charger apart and there is no tweak adjustment anywhere. Nothing I found fixes this unless your charger maybe has upgradeable firmware, you'll have to return it.

ok I think I found the problem....they have two duo chargers hooked up to my 18amp PS trying to charge four batteries at one time...would this be the cause?

ok we took one charger off and hooked it to a car battery and still the same problem on the new duo II...it never starts charging just that error "output voltage is too high"

my charger is working fine on my PS

the duo II works fine on the PS? I say bad charger most likely.

no we left my duo "old version" on the PS and moved the II over to the car batt

check to see that you have the battery type to lipo and not li-ion. Otherwise contact hyperion.

Also make sure you have the pack hooked up to the side you have choosen the settings for! I did that once, set up on channel 1 and plugged into channel 2.

well after a litle trial and error I found that it was one of the 3s 5000mah zippys was bad...soon as we took the bad one off the system everything worked fine on both chargers

thanks for all the suggestions guys

Also, check your firmware level. Mine originally did this almost everytime, and once they released the new firmware, it wasnt nearly as sensitive to out of balance cells. There is a thread in the general electric section on the hyperion firmware update.
