I'd buy a Mugen MBX6.
|
Same here. Your 1515 1y on 4s will run great.

the 8ight is great, dirt cheep right now, but the 808 is king as long as you can handle the price
|

Yep. That's a great price. Seems like vendors are clearing out 8ight stock to make room for the 8ight 2.0
|
hope they are still around jan20. i get paid

Yep I would love xray but as my journey into 1/8 scale buggy land begins I sure cant afford $500 for just a buggy....so this christmas I bought two 8ights. You are probably thinking where is the logic in that.
Well after buying my eight roller I went to the hobby store and saw how much the individual parts are. Then I bought a 8ight RTR to sell of the nitro stuff and speky dx2. This way I have a back-up buggy for DIRT cheap. I got the rtr off ebay for only $325 shipped and the Roller for $230 with a novak conversion that is for sale BTW. Everyone is blowing them out now that 2.0 is out. I think in the 1/8 size you cant beat this buggy at the price. pics of my find http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...8IGHT003-1.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...t/8IGHT005.jpg Now Im broke with no electronics...lol. But I am at least on my way. :mdr: |
Do you have a budget for this buggy? Saying best bang for the buck usually implies there's a budget you're trying to stay within. If not, I say the MBX6 looks like the best buggy out there and you can get it for under $500.
|
i think im going with the 8ight, and yes if i get the losi i can have it flying on the track for about 500$
|
Hot Bodies D8 is going around $300 or so as well.

From what I've read on the two the D8 is more predictable and more durable. However, I've never raced either one so take that with a grain of salt. Just some stuff I've seen in mags or forums.

more input....

A buddy of mine bought a D8 a while back. He's trying to sell it now.
I'm not sure what the problem is be I don't think he likes it. I've been driving an MBX-6 since it came out. I love it. I won't be switching until the MBX-7 comes out. :mdr: |
