Battery charge rate?

What is the best charge rate for a 5000 mah battery. I have 8.4v 5000mah venom batts and i have been charging them @ 4amps. Is this to fast for the batterys?

That is to fast for venom Nimh batteries!!! I had a set and blew them up. Make sure to let them cool before running and before charging. I wouldn't charge them at any more than 2.5A

Get ye some nice SPC or Promatch 4600mah nimhs, vastly better quality.

I have been letting them cool, now i will bring the rate down to 2.5. thanks

Well when the wife buys a new truck for me i don't complain about what batts she gets. :lol:
