It looks like a finned Castle motor more so than a Neu. Lookin good though.

Thanks Newe, I agree it does, but what do expect, it's made by castle, and hopefully it will perform well also. One more note, when i received the motor, the motor leads were about 8" in length...which is quite long in my book.

very true, I used bullets to, I just covered the itty-bitty little gap with electrical tape, as for the ones who want the castle neu 2200 kv motor, here is the person I got it from on ebay... he has 3 listed, it was a real pleasure dealing with him, and I ordered it on 1/4/9 and got it on 1/8/9
well here is the link

Just parted out the combo and sold the motor and esc seperately, no great mystery to it really- but clever thinking on his part for sure.

I'm glad you finally got away from that 7XL, Now you are in the real power world. From my experience, I went from a 9XL to a Neu 1515/2.5d/f, It felt like 5 times the motor. I can't be sure if its the 4 pole setup, the slotted design or just better quality, but the power and feel of the motor is absolutley amazing comapred to the fegaio's. I'm sure you'll love it.

The esc/motor wires are a bit short in my opinion, It looks like thet might be stressed a bit, especially the pink esc wire

sjcrss 01.08.2009 11:35 PM

the pink wire is ok, I just over tinned it a little is all, it can still flex, that is what is being seen as the little kink...., I could have left them real long, but I didn't like how they stuck way up in the air. Thanks for the comments fella's.

Ok, I have a question for some one, if i was to flip the quark over and was to replace the motor wires from the quark, all I basicly need to do is desolder the old ones and replace them...correct?

I think your setup looks great. If it isn't broke, don't fix it. LOL

Run that thing and let us know how it does!

A Vid would be great if possible.

sjcrss 01.09.2009 12:02 AM

makes sense, I would love to run it, but we just got more of that DAMN white crap, and the roads are covered in it, hopefully they can get them cleared and in the next few days it will dry up some

coolhandcountry 01.09.2009 06:21 PM

Looks like you need a test driver.

Looking nice.
