How to get rid of LiPos? and crash pics
Well my street has a slight bend in it. Needless to say i slightly misjudged it. It was going around40 probably when it crashed into the little concrete wall. Not that much damage, but it did wreck my LiPos. i was doing a test run with them not completely secured. . .
Second time I've hit in that exact spot. Bent one of my FFRC arms there also. So, how do you properly get rid of a LiPo thats been damaged? And now for pics http://img255.imageshack.us/img255/5227/dsc0165kv6.jpg http://img255.imageshack.us/img255/5227/dsc0165kv6.jpg http://img264.imageshack.us/img264/1576/dsc0168nn6.jpg http://img165.imageshack.us/img165/9313/dsc0170qh6.jpg http://img165.imageshack.us/img165/1008/dsc0172ai8.jpg http://img264.imageshack.us/img264/2854/dsc0177ke5.jpg http://img353.imageshack.us/img353/8719/dsc0175qp0.jpg |
Holy damn. Now thats what you call carnage. I think the proper way to dispose of lipo batteries is to set them in a "plastic" bucket of salt water for 2 weeks. This might not work on punctured packs though.

It also ripped the motor wires out of the plugs. But ohh is a RC18T on 4s LiPo ever fun. Left some black marks on the concrete infront of my house and it does nice wheelies.

Sounds like you had fun while it lasted.

I don't say this a lot but, Holy shit!

Just throw them in the trash. You may want to remove the main wires and balancer wires as they can be handy.

and you can just throw them away? |

If it is puffed and hot, might want to put it in a clay flower pot, or under a brick... |
