does any one know how big of a battery you can fit in the losi battery tray.

also

does any one know if it can be mounted in a rc8. i know i am going to have to drill some new holes in the chassis but would it sit right in the rc8.

thanks!

The one that came with my conversion kit for my 8ight-b measures 54mmX165MM on the inside.

It is raised up off the chassis by design to accomidate the mud guard screws in my 8ight, so it should do the same and give clearance in any vehicle, but I dont have an rc8 so I cant be sure it will work for you.

I'm doubting it will fit well in the RC8, but I'm sure it could be made to fit. There are two things to keep in mind.

1. The motor mount on the RC8 is set much farther back on the chassis than in the 8ight. So the esc mount section on the 8ight tray will not fit on the rc8. You will have to cut it off.

2. The 8ight has the driveline set off to the right side of the chassis, and the rc8 is centered. So, the battery will be farther off the side of the chassis on the rc8 than on the 8ight.

Personally, I'd just get the RC-Monster battery tray or even better get the complete RC-Monster RC8 conversion kit.
