emaxx spur gear - smaller=less torque?

I bought a 64 tooth spur gear when I ordered my emaxx. I think it comes with a 66 tooth spur gear stock. Am i correct that a smaller spur will reduce torque and increase top speed a little or do I have it backwards.:C:

yeah, you are right!

bigger pinion does the same.

it gets you a smaller gearing ratio.. so it will be faster, with less torque.

Hello,
Towerhobbies - the wal-mart of rc stuff!! Although I got an incredible deal off ebay for the proline kit which included the powerstroke shocks, front and back cvd's, and titanium rods for $100. I also bought from tower center cvd's, front and center integy skid plates and motor heat sinks off ebay. I am keeping the stock motor set up and will have 1 set of 6 cell packs and 1 set of 7 cell. I don't think I should break anything in the diffs or tranny if I'm somewhat carefull!!! we'll see.

If they good batts the truck will run real well. I had problem with the stock sliders but I see you fixed that. Good luck on your project emaxx.

Once you start breaking and upgrading, youll do anything to do it up, trust me, i was once gonna sell my computer to keep upgrading but that wasnt a good idea!
