Dimension Engineering Sport BEC
Is anybody using this BEC with their Sidewinder or MM ESC? Did you have to cut the red wire from the ESC? I just installed this BEC on my sidewinder without removing/cutting the red wire. Is this good or bad.

That BEC has a throttle cable pass-through, which just allows the negative and signal wires through. So, it automatically disconnects the red wire without having to mod the throttle cable.

Thanks Brian.

For what it worth  (right or wrong) I pulled my red wire on my MM.. But BrainG is the GOD of knowledge so I would go with what he said.. Maybe hahhahaaa..:rofl:
Have a great one Sir..:intello: |
God of knowledge... yeah, right.
I generally do the same (pull the red wire) in any BEC just to be consistent, but it's much easier to just use the pass-through feature. In the case of the SportBEC, you can actually follow the red wire PCB trace and you'll see it does not go anywehere on the BEC. |
