My conversion...with a plethora of problems :(

I am using:

-Mamba Monster Max ESC
-Airtronics MX-3 FHSS
-Feigao 9XL
-Zippy 4s1p 5000mah lipo

[U]My problem:

The system is what I just got. When I received it, I tried to bind the transmitter to the receiver, all went well as I went through the normal procedures, the led stayed solid, the esc makes the proper double "beeps" and when I drive the car more than 8-10 ft. away from me, the fail-safe kicks in and I have no control over the car anymore.

Another issue I am having is that my motor does not have any movement after I program the ESC using the castle link. However, if I return all the settings to default, the car will work, but I have the same problem as I stated above...

*I really do not know if this is a receiver or ESC problem. I hope that anyone before that may have experienced or even heard of such problems can share their helpful insight with me...thank you for your time and consideration!

Make sure the castlelink firmware is the latest version- 1.20 from the castle website, that will eliminate one possible problem.

Sounds like a radio issue though with the failsafe kicking in- have a thorough prod and poke looking for loose connections or damaged wires/antenna. Beyond that, try another radio if possible.

I agree w/Neil, a loose connection sounds like 1 prob.....try a different rx/ radio if you can.
