starting setup for a Losi 8T

In the next couple months, I plan to finally convert my 8T to electric:yipi:. Not sure of all the plans, but got a couple ideas. Right now i'm looking into using my 1515/2.5d/f neu (1700kv)/quark combo with 5s, I know people are using the y's and castle makes only Y's, but i like the power and efficiency of this motor. I am also considering either an adapter or a custom motor plate for my 2250 lehner and a 5s setup. I know it sounds like a waste and a weak setup, But i got a similar setup in my GT conversion (1200 xl basic lehner/quark/5s) and its awsome, doesn't run hot no matter how hard i run it. This would be a larger scale experiment to see if a high-geared, huge motored, lower voltage is as good as a high v setup.

Anyways, I have no experience in setting up a truggy for electric, I plan for the conversion parts to come from rc-monster. Can someone give me a good starting setup for the shocks and diffs? thanks for any info

Diffs for racing 7 10 3 or 7 15 3 should be a good place to start - some run as high or higher than 7 30 3 to avoid balooning...

I'm running 7 10 3 f-r on my ST RR. For shock fluids, I'm using 50wt all around due to the heavier 1515 1Y and 5S 6000mah lipo. I tried 7 30 3 before but I didn't like it.

I am running 5/20/3 diffs, ofna 16mm hard springs, 10mm of preload on each shock with 35wt oil all around. Love the setup. It is forbashing and works great! My truggy weighs 11lb rtr.

My 8-T seems to run really well at 7/10/5. Good rotation and on/off power turning. Shock oils are rear: 37.5 with 56 pistons and grey springs. Front: 50 with 54 pistons and black rear springs.
