Ok so my lst2 conversion is coming along pretty nicely, taking my time really since im in no rush to finish, anyways, i made my motor mount our of 1/4" angled alum and it cam out really good i must say, alot better than i thought it would to be honest, my kb458xl came in so put that on, i anodized the chassis plates blue, dyed the stock rims, got some big joes, got the tdr single speed hub and the tdr pinion adapter, installed the FOC Trans Conversion, my polyquest 6s 6000 mah 25c lipo is on the way. i have some kydex thant im going to make a battery box out of when the battery gets here, now the bullet connectors that came with the kb 45 8xl are too small to solder to the MMM Wires, what size bullets would be best for the motor/ esc wires? and same for the battery? also since i have the integy shocks and the resiviors stick out a good amount idk what body to get since i really want to keep the body as low to the shock towers i can get it to pretty much hide all the goodies underneath (and protect them) i really like the older Chevy body that papageno has but i don't like how height the sides are up from the chassis, so any opinions on this would be good, i was considering the doge ram mega cab body too, i was thinking maby white with blue accents for color on the body? some opinions would be great in this department. anyways here are some pictures, there pretty crappy being that they were taken from my cellphone, let me know what you think. also what would be the best solder to use?

What are you soldering? Flux is usually a good idea as it cleans the wire, and helps the solder flow and stick. If you are soldering al, zinc solder with the appropriate flux is a must, as lead solder just does not work well.

soldering bullets to the 10 awg mmm wires and the batt wires, and motor wires and charger wires

You don't need it for simple soldering like that.

I just use a 60% Tin 40% lead. I think it has flux in the solder.

This is used on all my BL stuff & have never had a wire melt the solder off.

I must get mine finished one of these days, but, I have so much fun with the CRT & buggy I never make the time. I'm now testing the truck motor Medusa 3680-2000 in my CRT witha 14T pinion & only 2 x 2S to make 4S.

well i have full silver solder on hand, ive read this was best bet anyways, i really don't want to have to go out and buy more, it came with flux so this is why i was asking if i need it or not either way it don't really matter.

Silver solder is lovely stuff, very easy to work with given a half decent ~50watt iron or hotter. You shouldnt need the flux, just make sure you clean and tin the tip of the iron before using it- best to pre-tin the leads and the bullets to make joining them easier too. The MMMv3 uses 6.5mm bullets on the esc itself, so best to use matching items on the motor leads (males)- extend the motor wires as required and insultate the joints with heatshrink tubing, color co-ordinated ofcourse for extra cool points... :mdr:

Same deal with the battery wires, just use your favourite deans, trx or bullets etc and pre-tin them to make soldering quicker and easier.

thank you thank you, yea i herd the KB 45 were torquey motors so i figure i would make 1 mount out of 1/4" 1 time instead of bending multiple 1/8" ones.
