I haven't heard either....what vehicle are you plan on using it in?
|
Scorpion makes good outrunner motors. Some of which has set records in those fast little planes. There aren't many people who uses them in vehicles and maybe that's why you don't here a lot about them. The plane and Heli guys do use them though.

Actually the holmes crawler motors are all custom spec scorpions IIRC

Scorpion motors are very big in the larger aircraft scene. Good power, excellent efficiency, and excellent price. Plus, they have some special in the magnets which make the motor almost bullet proof to damage from getting too hot.
I got a SC4020-12 in my .50 size Kyosho FW190 and its AWESOME. Wattflyer scorpion thread RCgroups scorpion thread The US distributor of scorpion motors gets on there a couple of times a week to answer questions etc. Photos of the scorpion office/factory in HK hope that helps :D -Sid |
Thanks,good to know

Scorpion motors are great! It's just too bad they aren't more popular in cars, but it's obviously because outrunners typically don't have a place in the car market...

one nice thing about them is the bearings are easily replaced, they produce a lot of torque
