G-Maxx and MMM 2200 kv -> Gearing???
Hi everybody.
I have a G-Maxx, mono speed conversion and hybrid bulkhead, and I want to install a MMM combo with the 2200kv motor. http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s...810800x600.jpg What gearing should I use? Thanks a lot! Emmanuel |
Have you tried using the calculator (R/C Speed Calc link in sig)?
|
I just tried...
But sorry, i don't find... (maybe I don't understand well, language???...) If some others user have experience on it... |
Running 4s 23/64 would give you 45mph and running 21/64 will give you 41mph. they both will work.

Since you appear to be using the stock slipper setup, you should have a 66t spur. 24 and 26 pinion will give you 41 and 45 moph, respectively.
Here is what the speed calc looks like with the correct info for your truck. You can vary the gearing via thepinion and spur sections, and the voltage to suit what batteries you plan to use. Differential Ratio: 2.8461538461538462 Transmission Ratio: 1.7222222222222223 Other Ratio: 1 Spur Tooth Count: 66 Pinion Tooth Count: 26 Total Voltage: 14.8 Motor KV: 2200 Tire Diameter (inches): 5.75 Tire Ballooning (inches): 0 Motor Current Draw: 0 Motor coil Ω: 0 Spur/Pinion Ratio: 2.54 : 1 Total Ratio: 12.4428 : 1 Tire Circumference (inches): 18.06 inches (458.83 mm) Total Motor Speed: 32560 RPM Vehicle Speed: 44.76 mph (71.9 km/h) Effective KV Value: 2200 |
Thank you guys!
Yes, it is the stock slipper. For the moment, i will use 14 cells nimh. Ok for the calculator. I understand a little more seing your values!!! I was not in the good section in the calculator... Sorry... One thing, how we can know if the motor will not warm? For the slipper, i will maybe take the RRP. I dont know... I will use moab XL tire for the moment. Here is what i get : Differential Ratio: 3.3076923076923075 Transmission Ratio: 1.7222222222222223 Additional Ratio: 1 Spur Tooth Count: 66 Pinion Tooth Count: 21.078 Battery Voltage: 16.8 Motor KV: 2200 Tire Diameter (inches): 7.3 Top Speed (MPH): 45 I think I will take 66t spur gear and 22 - 24 - 26 pignon What do do think of this choice? |
