Which dremel?
I think its time for me to buy a dremel. I need a tool to start fabricating stuffs. Since you guys have fabricated alot of stuffs, can you give me some advice on which dremel should I get? My budget is around $80. I was about to order a 400XPR but after reading the review from customers on amazon, Im not sure now. So can you guys help me on this? I dont really need a high tech stuffs, just a simple dremel that is suitable for ppl who like to fabricate stuffs.
Thanks in advance:D |
I bought the Dremel Lithium-Ion rechargeable about 7 months ago and I love it. You can't use all of Dremel's attachments with it, which is the only real drawback. Things like their drill press attachment may not fit. All of the normal bits fit it just fine, though.
If you get a corded one, my only recommendation is to get one with the most variable speeds. If you're cutting a bunch of different materials (steel, aluminum, plastic, wood) it sucks having a rotary tool with only one or two speeds to work with. |
it might also be beneficial to get one with the long flex head attachment. easier to use and with make it easier to get into tight spots.

Any specific model?

That flex hoose is a option part will fit any dremel
And is a very hansome option maby if you buy it in a complete set it;s cheaper:D |

For a corded Dremel I would choose http://www.dremel.com/productdisplay...sp?SKU=3956-02
For a cordless Dremel I would choose http://www.dremel.com/productdisplay...ls&SKU=8000-01 This is the one I have. I used to have the corded one I listed above without the flex attachment. Both are great tools. Good luck! |
I got the digital one and love it. Also I got that dremel drill press stand which is safe to say the best part to blow your money on. What a piece of crap, has allot of play and simply isn't usefull at all.

Hey I got a off brand about a month ago and it works fine. I paid $55 and got the flex hose and 165 tools . The quality seams to be good, looks good, same rpm as drimal. Here's a pic.
