not nessicerally, just make sure your locknuts are tight. You also should replace them every so often because the nylon in the nut wears out. If you have room on the axle double nut if you can. This helps prevent the nut from backing off.

what motor do you have?

nothing yet but i plan on going 8xl or 9xl. if i some how win the lottery ill probbly throu in a 2240 :p

I doubt 14mm will strip anything. As long as they are metal and you have good wheels. Nothing to worry about.

Plastic however, you can wave good buy if you have plastic hexs.
