Mamba max mod?
I would like to convert an extra max I have to water cooling it and making it water proof...to use in a boat
why? because I dont know of anyone else doing it and it must be able to be done normaly on water cooled esc's they lay a plate right over the top of the fet's? so theres no need in a heat sink...is there a way for the max heatsink to come off withoit ruining the esc? if it can .....how would one make a device to let water flow over the fets? also if it could be done what substance would you use to seal the whole esc after attaching the device any ideas? |
I used a MM in a boat before with no mods and it was fine. I did however run a thin copper tube (bought at any lhs) over the MM heatsink and just secured it with zip ties. It actually works quite well as long as the copper tube stays in contact with the heatsink. If you can get the heaksink off safely, get one of these:
