New Rustler VXL owner need some help
 

I am getting a new Rustler VXL and am looking to get some Lipos for it. I really just want to use it as a basher not to worried about the crazy high speed runs. I will be running it mostly with Jeremy1976's Slash. Also what kind of pinions or gearing should I be running with like a 2s lipo? Thanks for the help

lipos all depend on how much your willing to spend

i think NEU's have a good quality to price ratio.

not looking to go crazy, thinking along the line of 60-90 nothing more than that. Does that help alittle

Will the stock gearing work with 2 or 3s lipos or should I change that also?

I don't remember the gearing of my rustler when it was stock. and i can't check now because its in pieces, but i have ran mine on 3s and i had mine geared for good acceleration and top speed about 50mph I would say. But just start playing with gearing buy a couple gears and see what suits you, to get a little idea of what i was gearing for i checked the rustler vxl manual it has this page about gearing. my first BL was the Rustler VXL and loved it!! i ran the losi 3s, 3200 mah, 20c hard pack and it was awesome pack. much better than the Venom pack i had for it also but the Venom was rated higher. The losi 3s pack is the only 3s pack i know of with that high rating and same size as regular 2s packs. retail is $105 but you can get it for $99 or a bit less at most places. impaktrc.com i know carries it. i typically got 20+ min. run time and speeds of 65mph. great pack for the VXL imo.
