roll cage ?

Will a roll cage for a new t-maxx 2.5, 3.3 fit an e-maxx 3905?

Doubtful! T-Maxx uses an aluminum plate for a chassis, just a flat piece with a couple kicks on the edges for strength. The chassis are nothing alike!

Being that alot of the cages mount on the towers, its quite possible that it will fit. It just depends on the cage. Some will, some won't.

Only the new bigger 3.3 has an equal wheelbase, so that would be your only chance at a cage that would bolt up to the towers

U may want to research that, I already did. Original e/t-maxx, 2.5, and 2.5R have a 12" wheelbase. The new 3.3 with the big tires and the 3905 have a 13.2" wheelbase

I see what you were saying now. I thought you meant the all the old Ts and Es where different. I misunderstood what you were referring to when you said only the 3.3 has a equal wheelbases.

Thanks guys. The cage I'm looking at actually bolts up to the bulk heads I think.

There is an Rc-Solutions roll cage. I have been using mine for a while now and everything had held up pretty well. The cage will take plenty of abuse but i have to say the only down side is that sometimes it can be a pain to get an alen key or screw drive into certin spots.

Ya, the rc solutions cages are awesome but a little more than I can afford at the moment.

hey sorry to play the devils advocate

i ran a cage but it SUCKED. After a while it was all bent up and crappy. I would recommend u get a proline body or any other body with a .062 or thicker body.
