medusa 70 mm question

hello,
i just received my medusa 36-70-2000 last week and installed it in my revo. i haven't had a chance to run it and noticed the shaft sticks out of the rear endbell more than my 36-60-2000. i noticed this because i was going to mount my rcm heat sink on it. is this normal for this new size can or does it need to be returned and where? pics attached

It's normal.

I wonder what it's for?

medusa put that stub shaft on there so the plane and heli guys can mount a fan type deal to draw air over the can. they will have the custom fan avalable soon from what the owner told me.

Might not be a bad idea for us truck guys in the warmer states either.....

BigMaxximum with fan spings to mind- that will look rather sweet, even with a smooth can motor....
