Looks good but I would get the 1/8 hybrids with 1/8 gears. Good luck on your build.

Re~Mix 12.31.2005 12:01 AM

You also have quite a few cvd sets there. I'm not sure which one's you'll need with the suspension and particular chassis you picked. I'd stick with the T-Bonz cvd's for the suspension and ask mike about center cvd's.

Sylvester 12.31.2005 12:12 PM

Good start, but the cvds, id use the extended UE center cvds, and the MIP cvds with the 1/8 hybrids. Or, buy the 8 spyder UE diff set and use the UE shafts to be fully bulletproofed. (You can use 6 spyder depending on the power your gonna put through the truck)

Thanks for your help Sylvester

any other advice ?

Sylvester 12.31.2005 09:58 PM

What tires/rims are you thinking of? Id reccomend the crime fighters with a pair of some 40 series velocity wheels.

RC-Monster Mike 01.01.2006 02:46 PM

Yep, you need MIP or UE cvds and 1/8 diffs to run the hybrid bulks. The t-bonz won't work.
I would also use the UE ti center bones instead of the MIP center cvds. This way, if you upgrade to the extended chassis kit, you only have to replace one dogbone($15).

Mike, the flm chassis if it is used in conjunction with the UE chassis extension, what center shafts I'll be needing? the flm chassis comes with one, right? so wht about the other shaft?

Sylvester 01.01.2006 03:00 PM

You might need the UE extended shafts still right?

coolhandcountry 01.01.2006 04:07 PM

I would say if I understand correctly flm with a ue 30 mm extenstion would require a 135mm dogbone.

captain harlock 01.01.2006 04:11 PM

Does UE make such a long shaft?

Sylvester 01.01.2006 04:33 PM

I think a custom shaft is needed, 2 extensions, that would be a bit too long dont you think?

captain harlock 01.01.2006 09:46 PM

Yeah, but PAPA used it in his truck.....wait, the gorilla that papa is using did not have the extension piece that came with the chassis, correct? I mean, he did not use it and went for the UE extension instead.

Sylvester 01.01.2006 09:53 PM

Yeah, he used a UE extension with normal length g-maxx chassis.
