Al p2 rockers or plastic

anyone have any thoughts on the plastic vs. the aluminum ones...weight aside

Also, are the AL rod ends worth it or not.

Well I kept the plastic until I snapped one and now have the ali ones... One less thing to break...

i stick with plastic rockers because they are cheeper to replace than push rods and bulkheads when the post snaps off

you have to have a week link, it might as well be easy and cheep to fix

I'd definately get the aluminum turnbuckles and pushrods from Traxxas, and as for the rockers I'd get K Factory aluminum rockers. They have holes for 90 and 120mm. Only thing I can't figure out is if its P1, P2, or P3. The 120mm is only LT, but the 90mm I don't know...P3s might actually be something other than 90mm, but not sure on that either. Only reason I wouldn't get them is if it wasn't the P2s. I don't particularly like the P1s.

I will be running p2's. I know the plastic ones are cheap, but are the AL really worth it or should I leave them as a " weak " point as they are easy to fix...? I plan on getting titanium turnbuckles and pins as well. I have rpm carriers, but I am considering the AL ones to color match my scheme.

My next question for you 3.3 owners is the transmission upgrades. I have the Traxxas center diff already in it... I will probably ditch reverse for simplicity reasons. What gears do you all recommend..wide ratio, etc. as well as which ones to change to metal.

when I had a tranny in my converted 3.3 I ran the stock plastic wide ratio set and remember you wont need first gear you can remove thast in addition to reverse

How did your tranny hold up w/the plastic gears

It should hold up pretty well. Only problem I has was with the center diff. I ended up having to get a aluminum cup for it.

As I said above, I have the traxxas diff, do they make an AL case for it?

If not, does RR make gears for the tranny? I have a t-maxx tranny w/the RR gears in it, too bad they are not compatible...are they?

it actually did pretty good, it never broke. I now run a slipperential instead of a tranny and that is a big improvement a lower COG

Any diff cup for a Revo will work.

RR does make gears, but I don't think they would be needed.
