does shock oil expire?

would you guys use shock oil that is over 10 years old LOL. i know oil is cheap but shoot, if theyre still usuable, i might as well use it.
btw, do you guys know what weight Tamiya yellow #400 is equivilant to?

It should be fine. I've never heard of any oil expiring. I would guess it's 40 weight. Lots of companies like to confuse us by adding unnecessary zeros along with other symbols.

I also wondered why mans. don't standardize numbers on the diff oil as well as shock oil.

The had an article in rcd about tamiya shock oil. It's 40 wt you just need to knock off a zero when using Tamiya shock oils(not too sure about diff and all those other fluids).

I'd give it a shot.
