Mini LST brushless motor
 

I'm getting one of these later this month, birthday and all that.
and have already decided the stock set up will be too slow. (they always are :) )

so any sensible ( no really the 7XL is a tad big) suggestions as what would be good to put in it.
I want a single motor set up with good torque rather than crazy rpm.
I will be running at 7.2 X1100mha and need a good five mins running time.
I think the stock cans are 380...I maybe wrong though. :o

feigao, wanderer motors are always a good choice with a tekin esc. aveox motors are alos a option....

I got a hyperion y-22 4900 -- I really like it. On 2s lipo 5-6mph over stock but much better torque and throttle control. Much easier to adjust in the air with this motor for some reason. 3s lipo supposedly will put this motor over 30mph! 2s is good for 21-22mph.

put a 540 mod bl motor! put like a shotty super sport system! custom motor moutn!

A brushless 380s motor can rip that truck apart. Stick with a higher turn 380 to keep the amps down. I would guess an 18s with the mamba25 esc would be the best setup. The motor will only be as powerful as your batteries, so don't go with a lower turn motor.

the right mamba setup(or tekin setup) will be just fine for the mini lst. I wouldn't go putting in the 8k version, but the mamba 5400 would be pretty nice(or even the 4200 sport)

Everything on my truck has been holding up great so far, nothing broken yet. Ball cups keep popping off on harder impacts, but I like that better than broken parts!

I did get the ball diff for it and I'm gonna put that in later this week. Also there are updated gears available now so hopefully I'll have them this week as well.

I haven't been 'bashing' mine that hard though. I have a small track setup with a couple of jumps and I mostly am working on jumping smooth and taking corners well. Practicing if you will for 'raceday', whenever that is, LOL!

Thats pretty much what I'll be doing with mine (indoor racing)

I probly go for a low kv mamba motor then, I did run a mini t once with a 8000v and on 9.6v.
it wasn't long before it was a bag of bits though ;)

Hey, I would be carefull about running a brushless. These diffs arnt holding up too well. You will need to get the updated kit from losi (just call when you get the truck and as for the updated kit) and then when you get all your stuff, boil the parts in water for like 2 minutes.

then that should hold up for a while.

Never heard of boiling parts in water, what does that do?

sorry mate, couldn't resist,
my mate came up with the theory that as the parts are injection molded, there may be some stress or preload on the plastic molecules as they cool. Boiling may/may not allow the molecules to 'relax' and become less stressed.

like I say its just a guess,

Boiling the plastic bits makes them less brittle, a little more flex.
