feigao 8xl question
 

im runing a feigao 8xl in my losi 8t and the motor has gotten realy loud at high speeds is this normal ,?

No it isn't. How hot has it been?

only like 120ish

bearings may be shot.

has the motor been overwound a bunch?

what does that mean?

Sounds like their are dents in the balls in the ball bearings.

Feigao cannot handle high temp they r only 2 pole whereas medusa n Neu is 4. I burnt 2 feigao already 7xl n 9xl. I gv up now using medusa 2000kv n 1600kv

what voltage are you running?

4s n 6s but it burnts at 4s

forget using 8XL. we only used these when Neu/Castle and medusa weren't available. these are really crappy motors especially when pushed. they are not made for anything more than 4S and not too heavy or overgeared or too warm. if you already own then use till they burn up. Personally i really like the Castle/Neu motors.

i put my 8xl in my e-revo tonight and other guys had the MMM combos 2200kv and it was way over kill on our track , even with there big motors i still took TQ :wink: realy happy with my 8xl in my erevo , kinda lacks the top end , but who cares my motor came off at 140ish after 15 min
