MMM and Losi Conversion Kit

Just ordered a MMM 2200 setup and going to be using a Losi conversion kit on a 8ight. What is everyone doing to mount the motor on the Losi mount? It uses 4mm scews.

Ive seen some people take the end of them motor off and drill and tap it to 4mm. I wouldnt have a problem with that but I emailed castle and they said it will void the warranty if the motor is opened.

I have also seen people just use regular 3mm screw in the Losi mounts. The head sits low in the hole though.

Whats everyone doing about this and what would be the strongest without voiding warranty?

Thanks for the help.

Did you still have enough room to mount the pinion gear? I have heard the Losi mount is kind of wide and its tight as it is. Have any pics of your setup?

the thickness of the mount and the 4mm fastners, they made it for thier own BL motors, I really like the RCM mount
