Which truggy to get???
I now have my MT complete and racing already this season and so far its been awesome. Building my buggy now to race as well and now looking for a truggy. Which truggy is worth going with. I will probably just pick up a roller that a nitro guy has got sick of trying to learn how to tune...LOL. Which truggy would you guys advise....no bashing.....strictly a race rig for the weekend events. I hear Losi 8T 2.0, I hear Xray, I hear some saying now the new RC8-T or Matrix TR FRE.....what are you guys racing and happy with??
I'm happy with my ST RR. Parts are cheaper since I'm stationed here in Japan.
My matrix Tr FRE is a great truck, built like a tank. and since you have the matrix buggy theres parts interchangeability

I was at the same point about a month ago that you are at now, I did a lot of research and settled on the Losi 8t, I was thinking about a 2.0 but since I am not a racer but someone who just wants to kick some ass in large open areas I decieded on a 1.0. I spent about 10 days scouring ebay involved in a5 different auctions and all of the auctions ended up going over $300 for a used 8T which was assanine since NitroHouse was selling them new for $329 since the 2.0s came out I am sure they wernt selling. So I got a a new 1.0 and the Losi BL conversion kit and the kit is great except for the motor mount, it is designed for the Losi BL motor which is a POS. I used the RCM mount which is great and I am happy with the setup
Its hard to pick one. Everyone you ask has a different opinion....lol. I do like the Losi 8T 2.0 though. What is the difference between the 8T 1.0 and 2.0?? I had heard its just the chassis.....not sure if that is true or not.
the chassis is different and the arms and CVDs are longer but uses 0 offset wheels while the 1.0 uses shorter arms and CVDs while using 1/2" offset wheels this is supposed to help with handling, to me it wasnt worth $300+ more but I am not a racer
Why not just the 8T 1.0 and just run the longer chassis and dogbones??? I have found the 1.0's for 150-200 or so used as rollers. Buy the longer chassis for 50-90 bucks and run the 1/2" offsets.

Get Hobao Hyper ST Pro! Its very durable, Pro-model is for racing.
have to second the matrix tr very durable truggy i'n no pro by any means but i've never broke anything major maybe bent a few things but were aesy to replace! your choice though go with what you like!
I have talked to a few truggy guys that say the Cen is really a underrated truggy. They said they handle with the best of them and are very light. What does your conversion weigh?
i have the FactoryTeam rc8t with RCM chassis...it is laid out nicely and the r/c Monster chassis is sweet!!http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/n...s/DSC02489.jpghttp://i302.photobucket.com/albums/n...s/DSC02479.jpghttp://i302.photobucket.com/albums/n...s/DSC02485.jpg...getting slipperential this week!!

I agree they are very underrated. I have broken 2 front A- ams due to driver error. love the truck tho |
Got any pics of the setup?
my TR is not complete yet so i haven't weighed it stil waiting for a few things when i hae cash to spend pics of the 2 tr's can be seen on my intro thread titles "introduction and what i'm converting" since you have been around cens for a bit i'd go with one myself! if your looking for a used TR i saw at least one with the BCE chassis already done on there?? there surposed to handle even better with the BCE chassis
