8ight-t 2.0 Battery Tray

I picked up my new truggy last night and was swapping all of my parts from my old 8ight-t to the new 2.0 and ran into a little snag... I had planned on mounting the esc behind the battery tray like I had see in the losi conversion but I have a rc products battery tray and the way it mount I can't move it forward to mount the esc on the chassis.. Has anyone used RC monster battery tray? Can't you mount it anywhere you just have to drill the holes?

The only way I could get the esc mounted last night is I used the old RCP center diff esc mount and reversed mounting it upside down so my esc is over the top of the servo.. I will get pictures of it when I am at lunch... but I am trying to decide it it is ok like it is or if I should buy a different battery tray and move it so it is mounted lower on the chassis.
