Losi center diffs or Xray 808 what to go with help please

Hey guys need some input,
I have done some reading and read that the Xray 808 center is a good upgrade for 4wd or revo stuff. never heard of xray though
But I see Losi muggy and Losi 8ight centers.

What is the best for center differential, stronger more popular ?

Parts availability , good for brushless , and stuff

Advice, your experience, suggestions ? ? thank you

My build is below custom 1/5 Emaxx/revo /Losi brushless All4wd Rally car

I like the losi Muggy ones, the 8ight and sportwerks parts are all interchangable just the 8ight uprights are different. These usually are easy to find as well as cheap.

But for an onroad car you normally lock the centre and hence a centre diff is pointless..

wow , thank u for catching that Arct1k
I was wondering about that. So even 7000 oil or higher would not help ?

I just thought it would be nice to have a mechanical front or rear brake and esc for full brake

My BIG QUESTION:
Any ideas on drivetrain setup to handle street a little like Drift and also rally Offroad ?

I have been told both opposites, Lock front and open rear and Lock rear and limited front.

appreciate the help everyone

I think my onroad is 30k spool 120k or something like that...

Having anything less that 50k in the centre i would think would just put all the power in the front giving you no drifting ability...

huh, why the front ?
I am keeping it center balanced

Won't matter as the car accelerates the force will load up in the rear suspension making the front end much lighter - if you don't have thick diff oil then the centre diff will unload to front wheels i,e, lots of wheel spin and balooning in front...

Yea that makes sense, I forgot to mention the Wheel base is 20 inches, so no wheelies on this beast

a drifter guy said he likes rear diff.
so whats so cool about the emaxx diff Bulkheads is you can loosen one side and remove the Center and swap front to rear

My concoction is
Muggy/LST gears,
Aftershock Alum housing
Emaxx bulks
Revo shafts
and changing to Revo rear arms for Front and Back
1/8 wheels 4.4" tall

NEW Question: Is there an issue with power/Speed change from an emaxx tranny to the more direct Xray or Losi Centers ??

I would like to toss the Huge Emaxx trans and drop in a losi center, but unsure about power change ? I'm probably over thinking again. ANy Suggestions/Thoughts ??

Thanks

A little size perspective for ya

If you go with a center diff or spool the only issue to worry about is changing your gearing. Power won't be an issue.
