Battery help

I am running a BL edition revo on (2) 2s maxamps 6000. It has been suggested that I go for 5s instead of 6s. My thought is get (2) 3s 6000 packs then I could run 4s, 5s and 6s (by running what I have now OR one of my 2s along with a 3s OR both 3s together.) Is there some flaw in this thinking? I guess the crux is can I run my 2s 6000 with another 3s despite it being another brand AND may or may not be the same amperage?

For example a 2s 6000 in series with a 3s 5000?

Ewww, do not buy Zippy packs from him! You can save a ton of money just buying it direct from hobbycity. You'll have to wait awhile as they're out of stock, but it's 1/2 the price.

You should check out the battery section of the RC-Monster store though. There are some great Lipos in there.

no no no no no no no no no. Don't do that.

You need to be running the same batts if you want to run in series. If not you run the risk of overdrawing one of the batts before the other and damaging them.

those are zippy-h packs listed. they are good packs, great power but so-so quality in construction and cell matching. Price seems a bit high tho.

Ok, as far as running different brand and spec lipos together.... that is a no-no. At best performance will suck. At worst you may kill one or both packs.

As revonuts (or whatever his screen name is) said, the neu lipos are much better. I like to run 5s with the cc220 motor, runs cool and has plenty of power. Not sure if it will be too much for the revo, the 2200 motor on 5s 4900 zippy rhino lipo throws my buddy's heavy savage around like it is nothing.
