Hi guys a couple of questions before I make a purchase.
I'll be running with 12 cells.

(picture of the truck that it will go in)

1. Which motor for this emaxx setup? 8,9,10?

2. I'll get mod1 pinions but how many teeth? I have a strobe slipper that I'll be using.

3. Will I be needing a UBEC?

4. What are my expected run times?

TIA

well come to the forums and i hope this answers your questions:
1. with 12 cells i would go with a 9L so you can always add a few extra if you want and the 8L will run kinda hot.
2. i would start with a 10 or 12.
3. you dont NEED a ubec but its a good investment.
4. with gp 3300s i would expect about 12 to 15 minutes.

btw, nice truck!

3)The uBEC would be a very good investment, especially if you decide to upgrade to 14cells later. The 9920 BEC only works for upto 12cells, and even on 12 it might be a bit dodgy.

What kind of diffs are you running the stock or 1/8 buggy? There is a difference in gear recommendation.

I've got UE 6 spider diffs.
So 10 or 12 tooth not recommended?

On a 9l with the diffs you got and all. I would say 12 -14. I am not real sure cause low experience with the smaller motors.
