Berg Skids
|
Option A is nice and simple, but option B looks like it would protect more than just the bottom of the pumpkin. Only concern I'd have is for the option B design to catch dirt/rocks and make it easier to get into the gear mesh.

I voted option a, they are simple and to the point. I did not vote b for the reasons Brian mentioned.
|
I will purchase option A for my Berg.
Option B? No comment. |

I go with B because I know the bergs are very expensive.. id want to protect them as much as possible from being damaged..

Could "Option C" be edited to say: "Make my own"? :mdr: I used 22AWG T-304 SS. (1600x1200)

Metal is sticky which is the reason for the skid - They look nice but you need to coat them in teflon or such
|
Really... If you're on jagged rocks you would think soft plastic would get caught because the rocks would dig into it, whereas the harder metal would slide over. What I know for sure is it can't possibly be any worse than stock with all the little places for stuff to get caught in.

I voted C, I made my own from .060 sheet lexan. Which is very easy to do and works great.
