RC8T gearing question
 

Hi, new member here. Years of nitro experience but dont want to make costly gearing mistake with my RC8t. Heres what I have. Castle Monster/Neu 2200 combo. 6500mah 4s lipo. I race only, dont bash, not looking for top speed, just good racing temps, performance and battery life. Looking for your suggestions for pinion/spur gear selection.

14/48 would be a good starting point

I run 17/50 on the combo on 4s 5000 flightmax....it runs pretty good...almost too fast...I get around 15-18mins worth of laps on a fairly large track....I'm looking to go up to 5s on 1700kv though for longer run times and less heat....in my initial setup I had to let the truck cool down after back to back packs....
