rc8t progress update
here is my rc8t and i will fill you in on what has been done so far and how it drives now. stated with stock kit, mods so far are RC Monster chassis kit, trinty abcd pin plates, kh hubs front and rear, made a plate to mount esc on top of diff. rear dirt guards and have done the steering mods. first runs without the steering mods and pushed like a school bus so this is a good update to do and very easy. i use 6s lipo pacs, mm esc, losi 2100kvh motor, mugen center diff, gear is a 12-48, diffs 7/10/3, shocks 50wt, kit springs, proline lrp tires, i like the way truck drives now turns much better and is good over the jumps and good speed around 20 minute run time. i feel that the sway bars are the next to play with.

The RC8 allows you to mount the steering servo either way. That truck looks awesome. |
servo mount
yah the factory mount allows you to mount the servo up or lay down, ifound to much flex in the upright postion, check the factory web site forum for the steering mods, you will notice a big difference over stock ste-up

Nice looking truck Super Dave.
Are you going to run it at The Canadian Indoor Off Road Shootout this coming weekend? You should, there is an 8th scale electric specific class. I'll be running my RC8e and report back with more info after the weekend. |
