is this how you run 5s lipos?
Im currently running 2x2s 25c lipos in series in my 3905 emaxx with a mmm.
im wondering what are the facts to running 5s lipos. do they have to be the same brand? same mah? same C discharge? and most importantly, how do i plug them in....as in does it matter what side i put the 3s and 2s lipo? do i still keep the series connector? all i know is to make sure i do auto lipo so that it knows im using 5s. right now, im running neu energy hardcase 5k lipos and i want to run these zippys...will this combo work? https://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/...idProduct=8583 http://www.rc-monster.com/proddetail...od=neu2shc5000 |
no. the 2s and 3s must be the same mah and c cells, from the same manufacturer. series adapter, yes. does not matter what side is which.
the setup you describe would "work" but the two batteries will have completely different characteristics and not work well together. Also, if you are parallel or series wiring batteries you want them to be the same age with the same amount of cycles on them. |
you could either run a 2s 5000 and a 3s 5000 pack in series or 2 5s 2500 packs in parallel. To get a better weight distribution I would go with the parallel setup. It does to help to buy the packs at the same time
