Stock ESC is crap and the plastic drive shafts will give you problems with anything other than a tame motor. Besides that it's gold, I love mine.

what do you mean "Stock ESC is crap" is it that it brokes to easy.or burns up, should i replace it?

They are known to burn up in a few weeks even of you don't abuse it. The stock doffs can also be a problem.

the detta dt is awesome. The diffs are fine if you shim them. Get steel DVDs and a cc sidewinder 1/10th Esc and you're good to go. These trucks run great. They ate strong as anything too..

how about the "rc18b" and " t" are they bash worthy, i mean will i be having problems will them under normal use, light jumping, i plan to drive what ever 1/18 scale offroad rc i pick at a rc track, and in door carpet, just for fun.

D8 Driver 10.08.2009 10:53 PM

i finally got my first 1/18th scale vehicle, it is a Vendetta Buggy, i enjoy it as a basher, so far i got over 17 battery packs through the stock electronics and not problems yet, i read about this the vendetta, and how the ESC is going to burn out, hasn't happened yet, i check the temp and it seems to be ok,the stock tires blow out in 12 battery packs, but i did notice the range of the radio is about 30feet, but then it is An AM radio.

? What esc will allow a 2.4GHZ radio to work with it? because i want to use My 3PM radio with it.

any suggestions would be great. thanks

All new ESCs should work fine with your 3PM. Someone already suggested the Castle Sidewinder, which I would agree with. Make sure to get the 1/10th Sidewinder, not the 1/18th. You could go with the 1/18th Mamba MicroPro also, but the Sidewinder will give you a little more overhead to handle more power.
