Lipo cut off switches use 1 or 2

Ok I have an old 3906 maxx sitting around with stock controler and motors I want to use my 2s1p 4000 lipos in just so my friends can bash around with me

do I need 1 4s lipo cut off or 2 2s? and how do I wire it up? being that there are 4 wires to the esc

Best bet is to use 1 lvc made for 4s... see this page for all you need.

I looked at the page but my esc has 4 input wires 2 pos 2 neg 1 for each battery and thats where I'm getting lost.

can I run both pos an neg wires together and run my bats in series or will it smoke the esc? its a factory emaxx controller

I can't really think of a way to easily run it off both packs. Best bet is to just get one for a 2S and run it off the pack that supplies the BEC. I can't remember which one it is, but it shouldn't be to hard to find out.

You all fail. :na:

Only potential issue is the BEC- it may run warmer having to run from 4s instead of 2s, but it should still be fine really- a small fan works wonders (or an external BEC).
